Who can use sitesimple.io

sitesimple.io is intended for business users aged 18 or over. It is not designed for or directed at children, and we do not knowingly provide the service to anyone under 18.

Service description

sitesimple.io scans websites and provides scores, findings, and recommendations based on common best practices across SEO, Performance, Security, Privacy & Compliance, Design & UX, and Accessibility. Free audits use automated checks without AI. Paid plans add AI explanations and an AI advisor. Scores come from fixed automated checks, not AI judgement.

Disclaimer

Our recommendations are based on common best practices and automated analysis. They are not a guarantee of search engine rankings, security, or legal compliance.

For legal compliance matters (GDPR, accessibility legislation), consult a qualified professional. For security vulnerabilities, engage a professional security auditor. sitesimple.io findings are a starting point, not a complete audit.

We make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Verify findings independently before making business decisions.

Not professional advice

sitesimple.io uses fixed automated checks to scan websites and calculate scores. Paid plans add AI explanations and recommendations. Our output is informational only and does not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to legal advice, security advice, accessibility consulting, or SEO consultancy.

No professional-client relationship is created between you and sitesimple.io by your use of the service. Our AI-generated recommendations are produced by automated systems and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors.

You must not rely solely on sitesimple.io findings for:

  • Legal compliance matters including GDPR, data protection, or accessibility legislation - consult a qualified solicitor
  • Security vulnerabilities - engage a qualified security auditor
  • Accessibility compliance with WCAG or the Equality Act 2010 - consult a qualified accessibility specialist
  • SEO strategy or business decisions - verify findings independently

sitesimple.io is a starting point for understanding your website, not a replacement for professional assessment.

Plans and pricing

Free

Three audits in total for the lifetime of your account, with automated checks and no AI. A free account is required; no payment card is needed. Email support and a guaranteed response time are not included. Rate limits apply to protect the service from abuse.

Starter - £10/month

2,000 credits each month, enough for at least four audits at the maximum charge per audit.

Pro - £25/month

6,500 credits each month, enough for at least thirteen audits at the maximum charge per audit.

Both paid plans include the same features: AI explanations, platform-specific guides, PDF export, an AI advisor, Google Analytics Explained and Google Search Console insights. Google features need a Google account with access to the relevant website data. Google Analytics and Search Console checks use 50 credits each. Viewing cached results uses no credits, and failed generation returns the charge. Advisor messages do not use credits. The advisor has a daily message limit, currently 100 messages on either paid plan, shared across your websites. Weekly and monthly email digests are paused and are not included as a live service.

How credits work

Paid plans use credits rather than a fixed number of audits. A completed paid audit uses 250 to 500 credits, depending on the processing it needs. You need at least 250 credits to start. We set aside up to 500, or your remaining balance if it is lower. Your final charge never exceeds the amount set aside, and we return any unused credits when it finishes. Your online audit results page shows the final charge. The processing-based amount is calculated from the AI cost in US dollars at £0.79 per $1, counting one credit for each £0.001 and rounding up to a whole credit. The final charge for a completed paid audit is at least 250 credits and no more than 500, capped at the amount reserved. Existing reservations keep the pricing rule booked when they started. Later work to recover missing AI results is not charged again.

Your monthly balance refills when your subscription renews and the payment succeeds. Unused credits expire at renewal and do not carry over. Credits returned for an audit from an earlier billing period also expire with that period. Credits are a service allowance, not a cash balance; returning credits is separate from a payment refund.

We return credits for failed audits, unreadable websites and audits where the AI work could not be delivered. Automatic refunds for unreadable websites have safeguards against repeated attempts on the same address and a daily automatic-refund limit, currently three. If a refund is missing, blocked by a safeguard or arrives after renewal, email support@sitesimple.io so we can review the charge. These safeguards do not limit your statutory rights.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added at checkout. Cancelling stops future renewals; paid features remain available until the end of the period you have paid for, unless you use the 14-day cancellation and refund arrangement below or delete your account.

These are the final prices you pay. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Cancel any time.

If we change a price, you can cancel any time before the new price applies - see the Cancellation and refunds section below for how.

Cancellation and refunds

Cooling-off period

If you are a consumer (buying wholly or mainly outside your trade or business), you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after the day your subscription begins, without giving any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You can exercise this right using any clear statement, including cancellation in your account settings, or email us at support@sitesimple.io. For refund review within the 14-day period, please contact support@sitesimple.io. Contacting support helps us review your request; it is not a condition of valid cancellation and does not extend any statutory refund deadline.

Requesting immediate access does not, by itself, remove your right to cancel an ongoing subscription. You can use any clear statement to cancel; no form or particular wording is required. We refund a statutory cancellation within 14 days of being told you wish to cancel.

At checkout you ask us to start your paid features straight away. If you cancel during the 14-day period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service supplied before you cancelled, calculated from the credits you used at your plan's rate. Your refund is your first payment minus the value of those credits. We make this deduction only where the law allows it; your statutory rights remain protected.

The value of credits used is the number used multiplied by the plan price divided by its monthly credits: Starter £10 ÷ 2,000; Pro £25 ÷ 6,500. For example, if you used 500 credits, the refund would be £7.50 on Starter or £23.08 on Pro.

Voluntary refund policy

Business customers buying for their trade have no statutory cooling-off right. We voluntarily offer them the same 14-day arrangement from the start of the subscription: the first payment minus the value of credits used before cancellation, paid within 14 days of being told they wish to cancel. Any clear statement is enough; no form, special wording or reason is required. This voluntary offer never limits statutory rights.

You can also ask us to refund the used portion by emailing support@sitesimple.io with your reason. We review these requests manually and decide at our discretion; a refund of the used portion is not guaranteed. This does not affect any refund the law requires.

Cancellation

  • Cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing support@sitesimple.io
  • No long-term contracts apply
  • For a 14-day cancellation and refund, paid access ends when you cancel; otherwise access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • Outside these refund periods, we do not normally refund part of a month, except where your statutory rights require it

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your rights if the service is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described.

Model cancellation form

You do not have to use this form to cancel - an email or a message via your account is fine. We provide it because the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (Schedule 3, Part B) require us to make it available. Copy the text below into an email to support@sitesimple.io, fill in the bracketed fields, and send it to us.

Your data

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. Audit results you generate belong to you. You may export or delete them at any time.

Google Analytics cookies require analytics consent. Meta Pixel cookies (_fbp/_fbc) and our attribution cookie require ad-measurement consent through 'Accept all'. Server-side measurement of payments runs under our legitimate interest (UK GDPR Art 6(1)(f)); see Privacy Policy for the two-path Meta processing model and your right to object under Art 21. Full processor details and the lawful basis are in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time via 'Cookie preferences' in the footer (this opens the consent banner and clears any tracking cookies set under prior consent), or by emailing support@sitesimple.io. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit URLs you do not own or have explicit permission to audit
  • Use the service to scrape or harvest data at scale
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the free tier
  • Use audit output to harass, defame, or harm others

Intellectual property

Audit reports generated for your website belong to you. You may use, share, or publish them freely. Our tool, methodology, scoring algorithms, and brand remain our intellectual property.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, sitesimple.io is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions made based on audit results, nor for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service - including but not limited to lost revenue, lost rankings, or business interruption.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from decisions you make, or actions you take or fail to take, based on audit results or AI-generated recommendations.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any breach of the statutory rights implied into consumer contracts by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services performed with reasonable care and skill (section 49), the right to a service performed in line with information given (section 50), and the right to remedies if the service is not performed with reasonable care and skill or as described; or (d) any other matter for which it would be unlawful to exclude or limit liability.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do:

  • For editorial changes (typos, formatting, wording clarifications that do not change your rights or our obligations) we update the version date silently and post the new version at /terms.
  • For minor material changes (new clarifying clauses, revised language for the same processing) we show a notice in the product for 30 days. You can continue using the service during this window; continued use during the notice period IS NOT automatic acceptance. At the end of the 30 days we require affirmative re-acceptance.
  • For major material changes (new purposes for processing your data, new sub-processors, changes to fees or liability, or new international data transfers) we require affirmative re-acceptance before you can continue using the authenticated service. We show a plain-English summary of what changed alongside the full updated Terms, and you can cancel your account at any time instead of accepting.

We will never treat closing a notice or ignoring a prompt as acceptance. We will never charge you for any new fee or enrol you into a new processing purpose without your explicit re-acceptance.
